Dennis Briggs

Dennis Briggs, Instructor

Dennis is a retired Army colonel and spent much of his career managing the competitive marksmanship program for the Vermont Army National Guard where he helped individuals and teams gain national recognition. He began hunting at age 11 and has traveled and hunted throughout the United States and Canada. Dennis spent five years as a licensed big game guide in Wyoming where he aided many hunters in locating pronghorn antelope, coyote, and mule deer. As a certified hunter education instructor for 17 years, Dennis has trained over 700 youth and adults in safe, responsible, and ethical hunting practices.

Ron Morgan

Ron Morgan, Instructor

Ron grew up on a dairy farm and holds multiple academic degrees in forestry and wildlife sciences and has completed advanced studies in safety and management. He has spent 42 years in various branches of the military and retired as a brigadier general. Ron has 58 years hunting experience and has been a hunter educator for five years. Ron is certified by the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife to teach hunter education and trapping and has taught martial arts at the Burlington Boys Club, Air National Guard, and University of Vermont.

Tim Hawley, Instructor

Tim has been a hunter education instructor for 10 years and
an instructor for the Vermont Letís Go Fishing program for 8 years. He has taught bow hunting for 6 years and has been a black powder enthusiast for 44 years.

Richard "Dick" Bayer, Instructor

Dick has been a hunter education instructor for 15 years. He has also been a bow hunter instructor, trapper instructor, range officer, and a Let's Go Fishing instructor for the state of VT for 10+ years. Dick is also the Chief Instructor of Hunter Education for Grand Isle County as well as a boating safety instructor and snowmobile safety instructor for the Vermont State Police Recreational Enforcement Unit.

Lolly Gibby, Camp Cook

Lolly graduate in 1984 from Johnson and Wales Culinary School in RI and has 27 years experience as a professional cook. She primarily uses organic food in her work with a focus on health and nutrition. Lolly has been a hunter (rifle, muzzleloader and bow) for 34 years and has been trapping for 4 years.
